Announcements, then discovery.
A merchant selects products or a collection and chooses an immediate or scheduled announcement. The bot posts the product names and direct product links into the selected channel. Members can use /drops to retrieve products from announced drops.
This is product communication. The current app does not check customer orders, connect buyers to Discord identities, grant membership roles, send direct messages, or automate refunds and access removal.
Use the permissions the job needs.
For product-card delivery, the bot needs View Channels, Send Messages, and Embed Links in the selected text or announcement channel. A channel-specific permission overwrite can matter even if the bot has a role with those permissions elsewhere.
Do not add Administrator or Manage Roles just to solve a product-announcement setup. Those permissions do not describe MemberPort’s current job. Check the selected channel and the bot’s effective access first.
Keep a channel useful to customers.
Choose a channel where a product announcement is expected. A dedicated release channel is easier to understand than placing shop links into every conversation. Tell members what the channel covers and how they can adjust their own notifications.
Build the launch around the selected product names and direct links, and review the app’s announcement preview. MemberPort does not provide automatic @everyone pings or an editor for custom promotional copy.
Choose a different tool for a different job.
Order alerts for staff, inventory monitoring, Shopify customer login, and paid Discord access have different requirements. An announcement bot is not evidence that all of those workflows exist.
Compare the actual trigger, output, permissions, and operational work before choosing an integration. For MemberPort, begin with the one release you want to announce and the server where your community already spends time.
