Product / MEMBERPORT FIELD GUIDE

Shopify product announcements, made for your Discord community.

Your community should hear about the products you chose to launch. MemberPort connects a selected Shopify drop to a channel in the Discord server you manage.

Start with a deliberate selection.

Choose individual products or a collection in Shopify. A drop is a merchant-created launch: it is not a notification for every product edit, every order, or every stock movement. That distinction keeps a customer-facing channel focused on the releases you want people to see.

For a single release, selected products make the list explicit. A collection can be useful for a coordinated range, but check its contents before launch. Collection membership can change; the current app resolves the collection when the drop executes.

Give the announcement a destination.

Connect a Discord server you manage and select a text or announcement channel. The bot needs View Channels, Send Messages, and Embed Links in that channel for its product cards. A working connection to the server does not establish permission to post in every channel.

Use a clearly named destination such as new-releases. Before a public launch, check the channel as an ordinary community member. A message delivered to a staff-only channel will not reach the customers you intended.

Keep the output useful.

MemberPort’s current announcement contains product names and direct links, with Shopify product images when available and shopping buttons. It does not send customer details, order data, role mentions, or custom marketing copy. The /drops command lets people retrieve products from announced drops.

The illustration on this website uses fictional products to show that structure. It is not a screenshot of a customer campaign or evidence of sales performance.

  • Product name: recognisable without an internal SKU reference.
  • Product link: the actual customer-facing destination.
  • Storefront check: open that link without a staff session before announcing.

Publish a message when the store is ready.

Announce immediately or set a launch time. MemberPort can optionally set selected draft products Active at launch. Active status is separate from publication to the Online Store and other sales channels; check the channel availability and customer experience yourself.

Start with one representative product and a test channel. Confirm the message, destination, product link, and /drops behaviour before arranging a larger release. Public App Store availability and paid plans are not presented as live on this site.
