A normal invite can be appropriate when you are happy for anyone with the link to join the public areas of your server. Review its expiration and usage settings in Discord, and assume a recipient can share it.
Explain the destination and community expectations in the message that carries the link. Test the experience as someone who has not already joined the server.
Use verification for purchase-based access.
If only qualifying buyers should reach a paid channel, the invite is not the complete solution. You need a trusted connection between the Shopify buyer and Discord member, a clear eligibility rule, and a role or permission model that opens the right space.
A shared link alone cannot establish which order belongs to the Discord account. Choose an access integration that documents that identity handoff and its recovery process.
Keep product announcements separate.
An announcement tells a community that a product exists and links to the store. It is not a post-purchase invitation, a receipt, or proof of customer eligibility.
